Colorado's Common Grant Application (CGA)

Welcome to the on-line home of Colorado’s Common Grant Application (CGA) and Common Grant Report Format (CGRF). The CGA and CGRF allow Colorado grantmakers and grantseekers to work from a common set of questions that reinforces solid nonprofit practices.
At the same time, the CGA and CGRF save grantseekers time and effort by not having to create different applications and reports for multiple funders.

This website provides an on-line version of the CGA, along with the valuable CGA Users’ Guide, a tool that adds clarity to the application process – and answers many of the questions that grantseekers have regarding grant preparation.

Click on Background to read about the collaborative process that brought the 2008 revision of the Common Grant Application to life.

Click on Who Accepts the CGA? for a list of grantmakers accepting the CGA. Remember to always check each grantmaker’s website for the most current information on their grant application and reporting requirements.

The Colorado Nonprofit Association, the Community Resource Center, and JVA Consulting are working together to offer free informational sessions for nonprofits on the revised CGA. The sessions will be offered at multiple locations across the state beginning in April. The sessions are designed to introduce the major changes in the revised CGA and familiarize attendees with the format. Go to the Colorado Nonprofit Association for a list of dates and locations.
